A native of Columbus and the son of the late Tommie T. and Mary L. Farley Norah, Gunzell was a 1960 graduate of Spencer High School. A well known national entertainer, he was a member of the Five Trumpets Gospel Group and was the musician at Mt. Olive Baptist Church in Fortson, GA. He was a member of Glory To God Ministries. Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Jamal Norah and a brother, Tommie L. Norah.

Survivors include a devoted wife, Pastor Christine Frazier-Norah; his children, Twyla M. Sanders(Robert), Tony G. Norah, Danyelle Norah, Craig Taylor Taylor(Angela), Pastor Johnathan Frazier(Donjoli) and Christopher Frazier(Donna); 15 grandchildren; three sisters, Gracie P. Norah-Parkman, Mildred Norah-Crawford and Patricia A. Norah; one brother, Donald Norah(Ora); a sister-in-law, Betty Norah; and a host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
