Gus Franklin Bailey, Jr., 81, a longtime resident of Granville County, passed away Sunday, March 4, 2012 at his home.
A native of Granville County, the son of the late Gus Franklin and Blanche Cash Bailey. He was a member of Olive Grove Baptist Church and was retired from Bailey Enterprises.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, March 7, 2012 in the Eakes Funeral Home in Creedmoor by Rev. Lenny Rogers. Burial will be in Carolina Memorial Gardens.
Surviving are a daughter, Sherry Bailey McGhee (Greg), three sons, Ronnie S. Bailey, Donnie F. Bailey(Eloise), Gary S. Bailey, all of Creedmoor, a sister, Joyce B. Bradsher (Fred) of Creedmoor, a brother, Tommy Bailey (Jean) of Butner, three grandchildren, Zachary McGhee, Ryan McGhee and Austin Bailey. He was preceded in death by his wife Betty Hix Bailey.
Visitation will be held from 7:00 – 8:30 PM, Tuesday, March 6, 2012 at the Eakes Funeral Home in Creedmoor and other times at the home of Gary S. Bailey.
