CHRISTIAN LIFE

February 11, 2016

In 1968 Robert Mwangi became a Christian and joined St. Paul’s Anglican Church, Kiriita and encouraged the family to follow. In 1970, Hanna accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior. She was baptized and confirmed. The couple and their children became active members of the church. In 1971, Hannah and Robert Mwangi solemnized their marriage in the church. She was a firm Christian witness in all areas of her life. She served as a leader in the local church and as treasurer in the Parish. She was an enrolled member of the Mothers’ Union. She was godmother to many children and supported many young people in their weddings. They raised their children as Christians, imparted high discipline, the virtue of hard work and supported each one of them to settle and begin their own families. She was a loving wife, dedicated mother, daunting granny to 26 grand – children and 9 great grand children.

Hannah supported her husband in all ways. She encouraged him to move to Kitale. They built their home, raised their children and supported relatives and neighbors cooperating with the larger community. She was among the founders of Kiriita Primary School. She was generous, a true friend and a wise counselor.

Cucu Kibui passed away on 31/01/2016 at around 2.30am.

We thank God for her life and faith. She will be greatly missed.

“Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord … they will rest from their labor, for their deeds will follow them.” Revelation 14:13
