Hansel Edward (Bird) Parsons, Jr., 49, of Crab Orchard, passed away Tuesday, April 10, 2012 at a Charleston hospital.
Born June 20, 1962 in Mullens, WV, Hansel was the son of the late Rev. Hansel Edward and Anna Marie Young Parsons. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, David Ray Parsons.
Hansel was a mechanic for Evans Motor sales and enjoyed spending time outdoors hunting, fishing, riding his 4-wheeler and tinkering on old cars. Hansel always put family first and liked nothing better than to spend time with them.
Survivors include his wife, Charlene Bolen Parsons; son, Hansel Parsons, III of Crab Orchard; daughter, Alaska (Angel Doll) Dawn Parsons of Crab Orchard; brothers, John Parsons and wife Loretta of Crab Orchard and Kim F. Parsons and wife Linda of North Dakota; sister, Dora Jones and husband Ross of MacArthur and numerous other family and friends.
