Harold (Howdy) A. Wright, III, 59, of Swedesboro, NJ, passed away on Saturday, February 16, 2019 at home. Beloved son of Harold A. JR and Barbara (NEE Hadley).

Howdy was born September 15, 1959 and raised on 8th Street in Salem, NJ. He was preceded in death by his mother, Barbara (February 2015). He is survived by his three sons Harold A IV, (Alicia) of Billings, MT., Christopher of Billings MT, and Alec (Leticia) of West Deptford, NJ.; siblings Sally of Pennsville, Douglas of Pennsville, and sister-in-law, Sandy. He is also survived by Diane of West Deptford; by one niece, Dorea, and four grandchildren.

Howdy graduated from Salem High School, class of 1977; he made the President’s List several semesters at Rowen College at Gloucester County, and attended Cairn University where he maintained a 4.0 GPA in biblical studies. Howdy served four years in the United States Air Force and formally served as a Pastoral Assistant at Trinity United Methodist Church in Pennsville, NJ. Howdy was currently employed as a machinist for ReadyPac in Swedesboro, NJ. Howdy’s love for music was evidenced by his ability to play the drums, guitar and piano, and his enjoyment when correcting anyone on music history facts. In his youth, he was also a member of the famed Wilmington Blue Rocks Drum & Bugle Corp. He also possessed a volume of information that his family would lovingly joke that he retained the greatest amount of useless knowledge than anyone else they knew.

Family and friends are invited to gather with Howdy’s family on Saturday, February 23, 2019 at Trinity Methodist Church of Pennsville, 75 South Broadway, Pennsville, NJ 08070. Visitation 9-11am followed by Memorial Service at 11. Interment private at the convenience of the family.
