Harold Joseph Petsch 83, of Barnegat, NJ passed away on Tuesday, August 13th, 2019.
Born of Harold and Helen Petsch and raised in Secaucus, NJ, he later moved and raised his daughters in Wallington, NJ.  He also resided in Fairview, Fort Lee, Wayne and Newfoundland, NJ. He later retired and moved to Barnegat with his wife Linda, so that they could be by the ocean, a place where they both enjoyed going for walks and taking in the beautiful sunsets.

He began his career as a truck driver for APA Transport in North Bergen, NJ and later became the Vice President of Teamster Local 617.  He chose a post-retirement career as a school bus driver for the West Milford Transportation Department, where he provided transportation for the special needs program.

He was a devout Giants fan and fisherman.  He was a proud American who would love to challenge someone in a good debate.   He was a lung cancer survivor and battled COPD with courage and grace. He never once complained, always having a smile on his beautiful, wholesome face.

He leaves behind his soulmate and devoted wife, Linda, who was always at his side; his four beautiful daughters, Debra, Sandra, Susan, Kimberly and their spouses.  He was a very proud Grandfather to Matthew, Ryan, Brittany, Joseph, Erik, Victoria and Veronica. He was a loving brother to Barbara, Helen, William, Emma, Michael and Ada and their spouses, as well as many loving, sisters and brothers-in-law, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

Memorial service will be held on Tuesday, August 27, 2019 at the Ocean Community Church 1492 Route 72 West, Manahawkin, NJ at 10:00 A.M.   Repast to follow at the Captains Inn, 304 East Lacey Road, Forked River, NJ at 12:00 Noon

I never met Harold but my father Joseph E Petsch Jr would talk about Harold and his Father from time to time. We Petsch's have a long history in the trucking industry and I am positive he was a good man and will be missed.

This is such a loving tribute to a kind, beautiful man. My sincerest condolences for the loss of your father and husband. My heart hurts for all of you. The song selection is very moving, while reading about his life and seeing the photos of him and Linda.
