Harold Edward Jenkins, 79, a lifetime resident of Creedmoor passed away Sunday, September 9th 2012.

A native of Granville County, the son of the late Edward Shore and Violet Burns Jenkins. He was of the Methodist faith and retired from IBM.

Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Thursday, September 13th 2012 at Banks United Methodist Church Cemetery in Wilton by Rev. Gina R. Miller.

Surviving are a brother, David M. Jenkins of Fuquay Varina, a granddaughter, Shannon Lynette Jenkins of Greenville, SC, a close cousin, Pat Jenkins of Melbourne, Fla., two nieces, Amy Jenkins Sarri of Murfreesboro ,Tenn., Sarah Cristin Jenkins of Raleigh, and two great nephews, John Sarri and William Sarri, both of Murfreesboro, Tenn.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Banks United Methodist Church, c/o Jean Watkins, 3608 Brassfield Road, Creedmoor, NC 27522.

Visitation will be held at 10:00 AM Thursday, September 13th 2012 prior to the graveside service at Banks United Methodist Church .

Eakes Funeral Home in Creedmoor is assisting the Jenkins family.

Harold will be missed by myself and his grandsons. He was a wonderful person and is now happily reunited with Barbara and Curtis.

Your kindness, genorsity, and love will be missed by all. You and Barbara were two of the most wonderful people that God put on this earth. I know you are happy to be in heaven with Barbara and Sugar. Although I was not an actual grandchild, you and Barbara always treated me as if I was one. Rest In Peace Harold.
