REFLECTION OF LIFE

February 13, 2015

Mr. Harold A. "Mike" Lacey was born on January 5, 1941 in Cincinnati, Ohio to RB Lacey Williamson and Beatrice Winston Lacey of Springfield, Ohio.

At the age of eight he and his mother moved to Brooklyn, NY, where they joined Jane's United Methodist Church and remained active, faithful members. The church family helped raise him.  "Mike" was active in all youth activities, including Boys Scouts, Choir, Usher, various committees  on which he served through adulthood.

At the age of 13, he and his mom, were involved in a catastrophic car accident. "Mike" was not hurt but Beatrice was seriously injured and spent many years in & out of hospitals & Docor's offices. He got an after-school job at the Brooklyn Library and was very independent and self-sufficient and did all he could to help his mom. They lived in a beautiful brownstone on Macon St, his Uncle "Hunch" & wife occupying the lower level of the residence his mom and uncle co-owned,
