Schachte, Harold P. “Pat” SMSGT (Ret)

Resident of Greenfield.  Found peace on August 9, 2012 at the     age of 67 years, surrounded by his family after a brief struggle with leukemia.  “Pat” was a beloved husband and friend of Eileen for 41 years.  Loving father of Matt, Erica (Chris) Nagra and Allison (Adam) Larson. Proud “Papa” to Trevor and Evan Nagra and Grandpa to Mae, Cora and Etta Larson.  Survived by siblings Barb, Bill, Richard and Scott of Superior, WI.  Further survivors are sisters-in-law Dolores and Michelle, a brother-in-law Paul as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

“Pat” was a Supervisor for the State of Wisconsin, Bureau of Field Services and the Vehicle Emission Program for 30 years.  He proudly served in the     128th Air Refueling Wing of the Wisconsin National Guard for 37 years.  To ease into retirement he worked for M&I Bank as a courier.  He enjoyed membership in BogeyMasters Golf League for 35 years and completed countless woodworking projects for family and friends.

Memorial Visitation Thursday, August 16 at the Funeral Home from 5:00-8:00 PM.  Additional Memorial Visitation Friday at ST. ALPHONSUS CHURCH, 6060 W. Loomis Rd. from 10:00 a.m. until the Celebration of Memorial Mass of  Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. followed by Military Honors.  Private Inurnment Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Union Grove at a later date.

I will always remember and treasure the good times we had together since we were very young. We looked forward to our family get together each year. We will truly miss you. God leaves us with many memories to hold and love. Our thoughts and prayers are with Eileen, Matthew, Erica, Allison and families. God Bless you.
