Mr. Nader was born Sunday, October 10, 1926, in West Point, the fourth of five sons born to the late Harris and Jamilee Nader. Harris’ parents came to West Point from Lebanon in 1919 and opened a café in downtown West Point. Here they raised five sons, Alfred Chuck, George, Harris and Steve. The family was devoutly Catholic and members of Holy Family Church in Lanett. Harris was a lifelong member of the church being baptized and receiving First Holy Communion from Father Eugene T. Snyder and confirmed by Archbishop T. J. Toolen of Mobile. He served as president of the Holy Name Society, a charter member of the William Merna, Sr. Council, Knights of Columbus, serving as Grand Knight, District Deputy and State Advocate. Mr. Nader was a member of the local 4th Degree Father Paul Loefsler 2350 Assembly and was honored as a 50 year 4th Degree member in 2008. He was an active participant in the Tootsie Roll Drive for Valley Haven School since its inception 35 years ago. Mr. Nader was an active member of Southern Federation of Lebanese American Club for over 50 years. He served as State Vice President and as a member and chairman of many committees, a member and vice chairman of the Executive Board, vice president and in 1982, he was elected president of the Federation. In 2007, at the annual meeting of the Federation, Mr. Nader was presented the Southern Federation Outstanding Personality Award, commerating the 76th anniversary of the Federation. This was only the fourth time the award had been presented.

Mr. Nader is survived by his brother Leon (Carole Ann) Nader of Pensacola, Florida; nephews Chuck, Mike, George, Paul and Fred Nader and nieces Pam Podziemk, Cynthia Del Hierro of California, Kathy Elmurr of Austin, Texas, nephews Steve Nader and John Nader of Pensacola, Florida, and niece Teresa Cole of Pace, Florida, nephew Alfred Nader, Jr. of Washington and niece Cecelia Nantz of Cumming, Georgia; and numerous grand nieces and nephews.

Mr. Nader was preceded in death by three older brothers, Alfred Nader Charles Nader and George Nader.
