Harry Roberson was a man of quiet dignity and a humanitarian spirit. Coming from humble beginnings in Arkansas, Harry not only felt a need to excel professionally, but also give back to his church and community. He created a scholarship fund to assist needy students at his alma mater Philander Smith College. At Shiloh, he served two terms as a trustee and also active with Phoebe-Pilgrim Circle. Harry also was a part of the “Philosophers”, a small group of Shiloh men who met on the P Street side of the church after the 10:55 a.m. service each Sunday to discuss the news of the day. He truly was a distinguished gentleman.
