Hattie Lois Woodard Anthony was born March 16, 1931 in Birmingham, AL to the late James C. and Iceaphine Perry Woodard.

She accepted Christ at an early age and united with the Hayes Hill Baptist church where she served faithfully as Usher and President of the church's Missionary Society.

Lois was an outdoor person who loved her yard, gardening and fishing.

She was employed at the Veteran's Hospital in Tuskegee, AL and retired from Auburn University Cooperative Extension Program in Bullock County.

She departed this life on Wednesday, November 26, 2014 at Bullock County Hospital. 

Lois was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Moses Anthony; sister, Hiawatha Diane Foster and two sons, Carey Tyrone Anthony and Charles Levon Anthony.

She leaves to cherish her memories, two children, Diane Anthony Penn and Curtis (Mildred) Anthony; seven grandchildren, Nakkia Penn, Michael Penn, Kerry Anthony, Charles Rasheed Anthony, Hasoni Joseph Anthony, Cortez Anthony and Demetrice Anthony; two great-grandchildren, Christopher and Iris; two daughters-in-law, Jimel and Latrisha Anthony; along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends including her close friends, Hattie Goshay, Cora Streeter and Annie Adams.
