Mommy J was a mother-in-law par excellence. She exemplified the godly wife, mother and friend. She had a calm and gentle disposition and caring personality. I have never heard her raise her voice in anger. She would always call to see "how yu do?" with genuine concern for your welfare. Not one to take sides or interfere, she became my example of the Proverbs 31 woman.

As a very young wife when I joined the Johnson clan, I quickly threw the myth out the window that all mother-in-laws are difficult, as I watched how fiercely Mommy J loved and supported her family as well as the body of Christ. I am forever grateful for the lessons learned through her example. She was passionate about service to the body of Christ and loved the Lord with all her heart. Her legacy will continue for years to come. Rest in peace Mommy J.

Gram-gram was more than a grandmother she was a light of encouragement in any room she found herself. Ailment or pain could not prevent her from expressing genuine concern for those around. A teaching woman who always taught from a Godly perspective. A true woman of God. A prayer soldier always uplifting her loved ones and those she met or came across, a no nonsense kind of woman. With a spunky attitude and a humorous undertone she was always a delight in conversation, a conversation that often times left you with a memorable experience. Words sometimes cannot fully explain the love you have for someone but your heart will always know. She was loved and will continue to be loved as her mark is everlasting. Be at peace grandma. I love you ❤️ forever.

I was a member of the Choir at Harbour View United Church, and was blessed to have met and interacted with Mrs. Hazel Johnson.

She was a fountain of knowledge, thoughtful and creative, and often helped the Choir and Director to identify appropriate hymns to render on special occasions.

Mrs. J always exuded warmth and confidence, and had an endearing smile which sent a positive message to a friend or stranger. She gave and received love, put her all in every task and never appeared too busy or tired to hear your concern, assess and advise if the situation warranted a response.

She came, and contributed to mankind and I know many of us will cherish those memories.

At this time she must be singing in that Choir -
"Father, I place into your hands
The things I cannot do,
Father I place into your hands
The things thst I've been through.
Father, I place into your hands
The way that I should go,
For I know I always can trust you"

Rest well my Sister, His grace is sufficient.

My most heartfelt condolences to the entire Johnson Family. I cannot imagine the void that you all must feel; for that, my heart goes out to you all. If it helps any, be reminded that Mrs. Johnson left behind a wonderful & meaningful legacy, and for that, I know that she will continue to live on through each of those connected to her generational line. She surely was as beautiful on the inside, as she was on the outside. May she forever RIP.

With love,
Tamra (Nicurle) Smart

You have been a pillar of our home church from a young girl growing up until returning years later with my son. I have watched in awe of your dedication in raising godly children, many marrying godly spouses and commiting to raise godly children. Your lineage is blessed with the gospel of Christ. Your family has been a support to sharing and living out the gospel through loveand discipleship. Thank you so much for dedicating your life to God's work. Your celebration of Life here on earth in honor of the life you lived is nothing in comparison to the celebration the Lord holds for your return.

Sending love, prayers of comfort from the Holy Spirit and condolences from CT, USA.

I lend prayerful support to the Johnson's family in their time of grief. May they take comfort in knowing that their mother, grandmother, friend and confidant lived a full life, and, may they take comfort in the happy memories left behind.
Weeping may endure for a night, but a morning of joy, doesn't mean that she is forgotten.

In the short time I knew Hazel Johnson I found her to be witty, cheerful and full of vitality.  She would always be optimistic and always looked on the brighter side even when she was obviously in distress. She appreciated everyone.  Her attitude and demeanor made it a pleasure to look after her medically. She will be missed dearly. May her soul Rest In Peace
