I attended high school and a couple of years at Sul Ross with Hector, my roommate and my very best friend. I am heartbroken to realize that I “missed” finding him by a few months. I’m sure I’ll see him again. Hector was always the good guy that everybody liked and he was such a great friend. Last time I saw him I was in graduate school at UT Austin and he was in town with his partner for some training at the DPS academy. I was surprised that he’d left his teaching job and was on a different adventure altogether. I’m sure he had a great life, he was a great guy. Rest Mi Amigo; I’m sure the angels are all happy you’re there.

God blessed me with the most beautiful gift ever when he brought you into my life 11 years ago. It was a gift I didn't even know I wanted or needed at the time, and neither of us ever saw coming. But I am so grateful! You brought more joy and love into my life than I could ever have imagined possible. I don't know how, or why, but your heart understood my heart without me having to explain anything. You just got me! And you accepted me, good and bad, through thick and thin, and loved me completely anyway. You are the best friend I've ever had in this life. If I could have one wish, it would be to turn back time so I could find you sooner and love you longer. It is an honor to be your wife; that you chose me! Sweetheart, thank you for showing up. I will love and miss you for the rest of my life; I wouldn't have missed one single moment with you for the world!
