Celebration of life will be held Wednesday, March 15, 2022 at Agape Bible Fellowship: 2560 North Main Street, Dayton OH 45406. Visitation will begin at 11am, followed by a 12pm service. Interment is at West Memory Gardens.

Ms. Helen Marie Rodgers was the oldest of twelve children born to the late Tommie Richard Rodgers and Sudell M Rodgers on March 20, 1936, in Birmingham, AL. Helen confessed Christ at an early age & joined Moody Temple CME Church in Fairfield, AL.

Helen was educated in Fairfield City School District and received her High School Diploma from Fairfield Industrial High School. She met her partner Clarence Lewis & they relocated to Euclid, OH. To their union, one child was born. Always a hard worker Ms. Rodgers was employed at the Hospital and retired as a Dietician.

Growing up, she was always known for her kind, generous spirit & her ability to bring joy to those around her. She was an exceptional sister to her siblings, and her love and support for them were immeasurable. Her warm smile and infectious laughter would light up any room, and her kind heart was always open to those in need. Helen had a way of making her loved ones feel valued, loved, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Helen Rodgers was preceded in death by her parents, Tommie Richard Rodgers and Sudell M Rodgers, and her Partner Clarence Lewis; her sisters, Mary-Ann Rodgers, and Janzetta Rodgers; Her brothers, Harold Rodgers, Frank Rodgers, and Edward (Emma) Rodgers.

She leaves to her cherish her memory one son Carl Rodgers; five sisters, Tommie Rodgers, Sarah (George) Cook, Blanche (Derrick) Murray, Gloria Henry, and Julie (Robert) Smith; one brother, Lucious (Doris) Rodgers; three grandchildren Carlos Rodgers, Carl "CJ" Rodgers Jr, LaShunda Carr and one great-grandchild Gabrielle Montre; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
