Helga Deeson of Lakeland, Florida passed away on April 21, 2021, at the age of 76, her dedication and love of family will not be forgotten.

Helga was born on February 15, 1945. She was the daughter of Albin and Anneliese Pechtl and sister to Manfred. Her life-long marriage of 52 years to Clinton Deeson, who preceded her in death in 2016, all started during Clint’s military service in Stuttgart, Germany.

Helga’s 30-year career touched thousands of lives as a Beauty Advisor for Estee Lauder at Macy’s. She truly enjoyed her friendship with many customers and co-workers. She also dearly loved her family, survived by her two sons, Mike and Ricky Deeson, married to Julie Dixon Deeson.

Known as “Nana”, she took extreme pride in her five grandchildren, Kristin (fiancé Shawn Duncan), Brandi (husband Justin Lewis), Brittany (husband Jeremy Hughes), Whittany (husband David Reid) and Dustin. Five adorable great grandchildren, Ryleigh, Elana, Penny, Ally, Ricky and soon to come, Chapman.

Helga’s battle with cancer was overcome by her love and determination right up until the end of her journey here on earth. She will be greatly missed and fondly remembered by many friends, neighbors, nieces, nephews.

An open-house Celebration of Life will take place at Helga’s home on Saturday, 12 June, from 1 to 5PM. Family and friends are cordially invited to visit for a “Prost” in a final toast in Helga’s honor.

Love recognizes no barriers. It jumps hurdles, leaps fences, penetrates walls to arrive at its destination full of hope.

When I think of my Mother in Law (Helga) this is what comes to mind.
She loved like no one else. I am so blessed to have had her in my life.
We didn't always agree about things but she never let disagreement interfere with her love for you.
Helga I LOVE You!! I miss you SOOO much! 
Family was everything to You. Your kids, grandkids and great grandkids.
We know what Love is because of you.
From beginning to end, the rituals of our lives shape each hour, day, and year. . . . If you understand them, you may enrich them. In this way the habits of a lifetime become sacred.
This is what Helga did. She may not think so but her Love and Generosity touched the lives of so many people who will carry it with them forever.

I am truly blessed to have a mother with such a loving and caring heart. She touched the hearts of so many with her out pouring of love to all. She was always there for us, giving beyond expectations with nothing in return. She always saw the good in people and never gave up keeping us in-line. She may have left us, but her voice and her pointed finger, reminding us of what we should do, will be a memory that will stay with me forever! -- "God made a wonderful mother, A mother who never grows old; He made her smile of the sunshine. And He molded her heart of pure gold; In her eyes He placed bright shining stars, In her cheeks fair roses you see; God made a wonderful mother, And He gave that dear mother to me". I feel honored and privileged to have been your Son.You always loved me unconditionally and were the best Mother anyone could wish for, Your presence would light up the room ,it was your glow, your smile, your gentle touch.Mom I know that you are smiling down on us.Family was the core of who you were, you loved All of us unconditionally! I want to thank you for being my biggest fan my entire life. I will miss the phone calls ( are you coming over for dinner) my first question are you having Roladins. That was one of my favorite dishes, if you know you know how good it was.Mom I know that you will always be with us, I will look for signs of Love in the Clouds, the whispering in the wind, the smell of spring, summer rain, fall and winter! I will miss you until we meet again. I Love Momma!
