Hank was an avid swimmer at Greendale Y، After some years he told me could not swim due to an allergy to the pool water. With a smile on his face after a shower he would say ( I am going home for a glass wine). . Miss your smile.

deMoor family, I just heard of Hank's passing while I attended a wedding last night, and met a former Norton colleague of his. (small world dept)... Hank was a special soul, and though we lost contact in later years, he had a profound influence on the man I am today. A true blessing in my life. I can still hear his stories, and laugh, to this day!

Dear Magda and family, Last Thursday Marty and I went to Salisbury Beach. It brought back so many memories of our times with Hendrik, not only at the beach, but also his visits with us at the lake. He loved to debate any issue and be challenged by any kind of sporting activity including riding my friend's horse and swimming across Crystal Lake. We love and miss him. Jean and Marty

Magda, Ingrid, Karen and Paul When your family hired me to sell the family Worcester home, I had no idea how apart of the family I would become. All of you are warm and caring people, and watching the care you took of your parents during a difficult time was inspiring. Hendrik was a kind, sweet man that I felt privileged to cross paths with. To Mrs.deMoor, Paul, Ingrid and Karen, One of the many benefits to becoming Ingrid's friend 40 years ago, was having Mr.deMoor as part of my childhood. Hiking Mt. Wachusett, swimming at the Y, eating Mr.deMoor's breakfasts after Holden sleepovers or Mr.deMoor engaging us kids at his Worcester dinner table. Thank you for sharing your husband and Dad with us. Love, Mary Donahue

I Knew H. from the Greendale YMCA. We served on the board for a number of years. At one time he swam and enjoyed it. Later he told me he could not. because of allergy. He enjoyed telling me about his good times in Argentina. For the past few years I passed his home on Flagg street. It was for sale and I hoped maybe he was enjoying his retirment in South America. Great guy. Miss him

I met Hendrik only a few times, and one of the first that I remember was at John and Betsy's wedding. Hendrik and my father, John, had been enjoying the champagne, "feeling their oats," and were teasing each other. I can see Hendrik's big, broad smile now. India

Hendrik, I have never met a family as close, connected and loving as yours. Not just to each other, but also to the people and world surrounding you. As a new parent myself, I now know that this doesn't just happen, it comes from the love that you give to your children and the things that you teach them. I salute you and Magda for what you've created. It is the greatest gift. - TB

Dad, I did a hike tonight and watched the sun set into the ocean from the hilltop. I closed my eyes and felt you sitting next to me. You inspired my love for nature and to savor such magical moments as sunsets. I thank you for so many things you've taught me, and especially this. I love you and I miss you so much. - Karen
