Hank was a special soul, and though we lost contact in later years, he had a profound influence on the man I am today. A true blessing in my life. I can still hear his stories, and laugh, to this day!
Last Thursday Marty and I went to Salisbury Beach. It brought back so many memories of our times with Hendrik, not only at the beach, but also his visits with us at the lake. He loved to debate any issue and be challenged by any kind of sporting activity including riding my friend's horse and swimming across Crystal Lake. We love and miss him. Jean and Marty
I am so sorry to hear about the great loss of your Father, Ingrid. From your wedding, I remember your family was filled with such joie de vivre and that your Father headed up the joy. I wish we could be there to support you in this time and send you lots of love.
Susie, Scott, Joey, Dani
When your family hired me to sell the family Worcester home, I had no idea how apart of the family I would become. All of you are warm and caring people, and watching the care you took of your parents during a difficult time was inspiring. Hendrik was a kind, sweet man that I felt privileged to cross paths with. Lee Joseph
Hendrik was truly a one of a kind spirit. I feel lucky to have had the pleasure of knowing him. I have happy memories of him and your whole family. Although years ago, they seem like they were yesterday. My sincere condolences to your mother and to your families. Always - Corinne Cabot

My condolences. I regard Hendrik, and you all, as great role models for how to be a caring close and welcoming family. Your house was always warm and open. Also specifically to Hendrik for introducing me to the White Mountains a love which I have passed on to my own children.

Gerrit (Retired in Florida)

Hank was a very special person. I met him when I transferred to Norton International in the 60's. Thirty years later we met at Assumption, it was like yesterday. Hank was a joy, a person one is blest to have in ones life. Sincere sympathy. Mary

You were a good friend and great teammate as we partnered conducting specialized audits around the globe. And I was blessed with the additional benefit of an incomparable traveling companion who shared my love of laughter, adventure and risk. My sincere condolences to Magda, my daughter's language mentor, and to Hank's family. I am very sad.

Lets eat Lobster...!
I had struggled for years, before you taught me a very simple way of cracking a lobster tail. I remember you showing me how to hold the curled tail in my hands and press together. I showed my five nieces and nephew how to do this, as I thought of you. Whenever I crack the tail of a lobster, I'm brought back to "Lobster Fest" at your dinner table surrounded by your family. May sound silly, but it's true. Happy be-lated Birthday and Happy Valentines Day. Miss you. -Elena Cabot

I joined Norton Company in 1965 in the Internal Audit Department and worked closely with Hank. We travelled together and went skiing at Sugar Bush in Vermont. I have lots of fond memories of our 20 years at Norton.
I know how proud he was of his family and I know he will be missed by all who knew him.

Magda, Paul, Ingrid and Karen,
He was a great man, a wonderful person and a dear friend to Joan and I for the many years that we knew him. As I said at my retirement, he was one of only three persons who ment so much to me as a mentor in my careers. We laughed much and often and he never did catch on to Erwin Diesler freezing his favorite gin before serving.
We have lost a man's man; a gentle giant. God bless each and everyone of you, keep you safe and shine his light on your lives.

Dear Magda, Paul, Ingrid and Karen,
I was so surprised to hear of Hank's passing. My father and I were just speaking about you all about 2 weeks ago. We were laughing about some of the stories that would come home with after a Norton trip.
Please know that the memory Hank DeMoor will always put a smile on my face. I just loved to hear his voice when he would come to visit and I would find ANY excuse to get out of homework just to hear him talk of you all .
Much love,
Kristina (Niehaus) Carbone

Dear Magda, Paul, Kristen and Ingrid
Sad to hear about Hendrik:s passing, but as my mom would have said, he lived to a good age and enjoyed a good life.
I will always remember the generous hospitality he offered to me and the other members of our department at his home on Richmond Ave. over those many years
Hope the angels welcome him into paradise with the most beautiful music and provide the requisite cigar and glass of fine brandy. i was thinking of "In Paradiso." Doesn't get much better than that. Faure's may be the best version. Let Hendrik decide which he wants to hear.

Breakfast at the deMoors
I will always remember the best eggs in the world were at week-end morning breakfasts at the deMoors by " Mr. de Moor". My sister, Corinne, also immediately reminded me stating that she doesn't even like eggs, except for his. One morning I tentatively stood by his side asking him, how he did it and he told me it was all in cooking them real, real slow. I later attempted his method and I was real happy that they came out pretty close to his.
