Catching up at family events will be different, the kind and gentle man with a warm smile and a big handshake won't be there.

It was Christmas one year at Lancefield (Vic) that I Met Henk and Glenne, He didn't say a lot, but he knew how to say a few words to calm Glenne when she was getting a little 'fired up'.

Sally told me her Aunt and Uncle would be there this time and how stories of their exploits, family etc were told by Ma Ma Gourley and how 'big' the family sounded, their achievements etc. Henk soon set the record straight when the stories were exagerrated a little.

He was always so proud of his kids, the photo work he did on his computer was solid testament to that!

Henk was never the sort to brag or boast of his exploits and achievements, except about his kids!

His presence, warm demeanour and gentle nature will be missed.

Missed? Yes... Forgotten... No.

We send our wishes of comfort to Sandra, Michael and David and their families.

Henk and Glenne were very special for us in the short time we could be together. We enjoyed so much having them in Seattle for visits to the San Juan Island and in our home. She became my special friend when she did the big Gala for Washington State. They stayed with us and we all became very good friends. I think Henk was so understanding, patient and one great man. He will be missed, but I know he is happy being with Glenne.

On behalf of my father Daan Jimmink who was , if I am correct , a flight engineer from 1948 until 1981 by KLM airlines and from 1981 until 1986 by SLM. airlines
My father , born in september 1921 remembered Henk Lemereis very well and want to spaek out his condoleances to the family and
friends.
He could 't right this condoleance himself anymore because his eyeside is very bad.

I don't know if I have ever met Henk. But we both knew of our existence. My father was Charel Cappon, also a KLM flight-engineer. Unfortunately he died early in 1976, being from the same birthyear as Henk. I recall stories about Henk, my father, Frans Kloek, Jan Kansen, and Herman Harmsen All KLM F/E colleagues.
I also started as a KLM F/E in 1985. I transformed to pilot in 1996 and will be retired next year januari. Another fine KLM F/E in the infinite skys. They'll have fun overthere.
My condolances and best regards to all those who loved Henk.
Thijs Cappon
