Out of this wonderful love came the blessing of five children; Sylvie, Mbangei, Babila, Clarise and Ndam. RELIGIOUS LIFE

May 12, 2021
Bah Worekrutih was a devout Christian who lived his life according to the teachings of the holy Bible. He was a proud and dedicated member of the Presbyterian Church; first in Batibo, then in Musang and then Bastos and finally Newtown Airport Presbyterian Church. The bible says “But when you give to the needy, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, so that your giving may be in secret. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you” (Matthew 6:3–4).Throughout his life he donated and sponsored projects anonymously within the church and the community that have benefited generations of his countrymen. He believed strongly in the mission of the Church, promoting and strengthening the word of God was his main objective. He had his bible with him everywhere and quoted from it often. He attended church every Sunday and made sure his family attended church as well. At the end of phone calls with Dad he always reminded you to read your bible and be thankful to God. He believed in the promises of Christ and he lived that way. So today I say

Ring out the welcome.

Swing wide the gates.

Choirs of angels stand and sing, “Amazing Grace.”

There’s one more soldier of the King.

Whose trials are past.

Ring out the welcome loud and clear –

He’s home at last.

LAST DAYS/DEATH

May 12, 2021
He battled several serious health issues over the past several years, including diabetes, vision problems and high blood pressure. Through it all, through all the doctor’s appointments and treatments and blood tests and insulin injections and medications he never complained once, he always looked beyond his problems and trusted in God. But in the end, when he took his leave of us, he did so in the same way that he had always walked among us; with grace, selflessness and his trust and faith in God. His sunset was on April 29, 2021. Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God; believe also in me. My Father’s house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am (John 14:1-3)

In the end, when all the words have been spoken, when all the songs have been sung, we will stand at the graveside and commit his body to the keeping of this earth until the coming of the Lord, and we will commit his soul into the loving hands of the God he served, bringing an end to the final chapter of his incredible life. The measure of a life is not in its duration but in its donation (Corrie Boom). Bah Worekrutih donated his time, love, generosity, kindness, knowledge and blessings to his family and friends, community and country and in the end through his efforts he leaves this world a better place than he found it. Bah Worekrutih , you gave this world your very best every day and those of us that you have left behind who love you will continue to strengthen and carry on your legacy. And even as we know we’re going to miss you we also know your decency, sincerity, and kind soul will stay with us forever.

Rest in Peace to a soul that brought so much joy and fulfilment to many. We will always love you!
