Welcome. We've created this memorial site as a place to celebrate Hilda's life, her love, and the memories we have with her. If you wish, please share a memory, photograph, and/ or story with all her family and friends. Thank you!!
Hilda R. Markham (Bedewitz), aged 87, of Lowell, went to be with her Lord on Friday, January 5, 2018. She was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin; daughter, Lyn Markham Tifft; and parents, Fred and Anna Bedewitz. She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Cheryl (Tim) Mastenbrook, Roy Markham; son-in-law, Larry Tifft; grandchildren, Amanda Mastenbrook, Lee Mastenbrook, Brian Markham, Skye Tifft; great granddaughter, Paisley Markham; sister, Dorothy Julien; and many nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held later in the spring at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Lowell.
It was unimaginable, even unthinkable, for me that this day would come and mom is gone. I don't know if anyone can really be ready to lose their mother. I miss my mom.
I can take some comfort that she is now with my sister, and the love of her life, my dad. I fondly remember the both of them with their love of being together, camping, and exploring northern Michigan in their boat. They also loved being snowbirds in Florida with their friends. Mom was happy.
Mom was also the type of person who always gave of herself selflessly. She was the rock and support of her three children, always staying strong, no matter how hard it may have been on her. She always wanted the best for all of us.
Aside from my husband, my mom was also one of my best friends. She was the only one that I could be arguing with one minute, and laughing with the next. I'll always treasure the special times we had together.
I am always going to miss you mom, you'll forever be in my heart.
