Hildah's Journey

December 5, 2013

.

Hildah was born in Nyen Metta, Cameroon on December 22, 1966 to Chig Joseph and Nanga Mobit.  Hildah was married to Windely Nanji for 26 blessed years and together were blessed with two boys: Munang Scott (22) and Dasi Chick (19).

She attended Girls’ Technical College Molyko and Government Technical High School Kumba in Cameroon before coming to the United States on July 4, 1987.  She earned a BA in Business Administration in 1991, was CPA certified in 1993, and earned a Master in Finance 1997 from Robert Morris University Pittsburgh, Pa. She would also earn a Diploma in Nursing from Shadyside school of Nursing in 2008. Hildah worked for Exico Inc, Arthur Anderson Accounting Services, Sharp Visions, Inc. and UPMC Shadyside Hospital.

Hildah was a dedicated Christian who employed her God given skills to the service of the Lord in various capacities.  She served as a Deacon with Bethesda Presbyterian Church, Usher with Petra International Ministries, part time preacher at Africa Christian United Fellowship Church and choir member.  Hildah also served the community at large by volunteering her business consulting skills.  Many would describe her as compassionate, loving, caring, fair, and prayerful and a God-fearing Christian. Hildah was first  diagnosed with breast cancer in 2003. She was determined to give it her best effort  that she went back to Nursing School after successful Accounting/Finance career and   worked on the oncology unit for two years. She  fought a courageous battle via daily prayers, healthy diets, juicing, herbal supplements , active participation with care team, regular check -ups, vacation trips, strong  support from friends and family, prayers from others and Divine love. Many of you   have helped in one way or the other( be it  a phone call, prayers, sour sap leaves gift, organic food items gift) in this fight, but in the end God took her home on the morning of November 29, 2013.

She leaves behind her mother, father, husband, sons, brothers, sister, cousins, uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, in-laws and a host of family members and friends to mourn her.  She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
