Hiroshi loved America

Uncle Hiroshi was a hero and an inspiration to our large and widespread Sakahara family. He was the last of that generation in our family. Such an example of perseverance. After the war, he went from farming to being a very successful professional, family man, athlete and spiritual example. He will be missed.

He was an amazing man, and he raised an amazing daughter, whom amazingly married me 43 years ago. We will all miss him, he was loved by many

I will never hear God Bless America without hearing Hiro's wonderful voice and awesomeness he gave that song with his whole heart. He sang it each year on any National Holiday and also sang in our church choir until he had to move away from Georgetown. Hiro was our HERO at San Gabriel Presbyterian, Georgetown, TX.
