His Life

Homer C. "Bobby" Johnson, Jr. the oldest of eight children  born to Homer C. "Scoop" and Mary B. Edwards Johnson on  September 27, 1948 in Rockford, Alabama.   

He joined the First Baptist Church and was baptized under  the pastorate of Dr. W. T. Darnell. When Bobby returned home in  2008, he attended First Baptist Church, under Pastor Stanford  Benson, as long as he was physically and mentally able.   

He attended Rockford Elementary School and J. D.  Thompson High School. He later relocated to Middletown, Ohio.   

He departed his earthly life and entered eternal life on  December 9, 2014 at Adams Nursing Home, Alexander City,  Alabama.   

His memory will be cherished by his siblings, William  (Mary) of Omaha, Nebraska; Ray (Janice) of Rockford, Alabama;  David (Yolanda) of Little Rock, Arkansas; Linda (Walter) Brown,  Denise Johnson, Connie Johnson of Chicago, Illinois; his  caregiver/cousin, Frankie (Lee) Cousin of Rockford, Alabama. He  will also be remembered by two aunts, Ruby (Jason) Johnson and  Peggy Crayton; two uncles, Robert Michael Johnson and Clifford  Johnson; nieces, nephews and many cousins.    Both parents, a sister, Jerri Elaine Johnson and a brother,  Richard Edward Johnson preceded him in death.    We will forever cherish his memory,
