His Life

Homer, Dad, Poppy;

August 6, 2012

He was such a big part of our lives.  He taught all three of his girls how to be self sufficient.  (not sure if their husbands like this or not).   He taught us to laugh and enjoy what we do in life.   He taught us how to be proud of our work.

We still don't know why you need 15 saws or 18 wrenches or 300 measuring tapes, or 12 levels, well you get the idea.  I'm sure each and everyone had a specific use.

As a child he would always kid us.  A fake snake in the grass,  tell us a train had just gone through here, because 'it left it's tracks'.   Took us on canoe trips, took us ice fishing and made us get up at 8am on Saturday mornings to do yard work.

He taught us the meaning of family.  He was always around, always doing things with us, always laughing.    There isn't a day that goes by when I don't think of him, what he would say, what he would do.   Miss you so much, it hurts sometimes and then I think,   he wouldn't want it that way.   Enjoy life and your family.  Huggs and Kisses.............Dad; Poppy
