Teacher Takon
Happy Anniversary.
I know you are in a good place because you were a good man.
Remember at one get together in London when the host asked us all if we played any musical instruments and Pius said he played the Grammar phone. These are what memories are made off.

Daddy, your sudden departure from this world left a huge void in our hearts, but we take comfort in the knowledge that you are in the bosom of Father Abraham. There are so many memories we share, and there's still room for so much more, but alas, the Lord had other plans. Adieu daddy. Rest in peace.

My dear brother E.T.(Teacher Takon) I have tried hard to find apt words to describe you and what you meant to me and many others who's lives you touched. Yours was a 'midas touch', maybe not everything you touched turned literally into gold but you certainly touched the hearts of all who came into your life. A man of unending generosity and solid moral judgement.Tita we salute you. Epue X

Hon. justice Emmanuel Ndoma-Egba was a noble leader and pioneer of integrity in the Nigerian justice. Our hearts go out to the Ndoma-Egba family in this time of sorrow. The indelible mark Uncle ET created in our lives over 30 years ago is not erased by this sad event. He was a wonderful mentor and friend to us, and we are thankful for the place he and his family will forever have in our lives and our hearts. He will be truly missed. My Lord, Hon. Justice Emmanuel Takon Ndoma-Egba was a fore-runner to all Lawyers from the Central and Northern Senatorial Districts of Cross River State; he showed us the way. My mentor and benefactor, Kanu Godwin Agabi,SAN refers to him as 'our leader.'

My Lord, 'E.T', Rest in Peace.

Justice Ndoma-Egba (my kins man) told me something remarkable the very last time I met with him in his country home in the precincts of the Holy Family Hospital, Ikom. He said Nchor, "In every venture in life, you must pay for your ignorance." He then told me a story of how he was riped off by a technician servicing his lister plant.

Yes Knut,
I remember this visit so vividly. Your dad said he had to bring you to the man who made him what he was: R.G.T.St.Leger. How they reminisced about their Ikom days. Little did they know it was their last meeting. Memories... So cherished. Who wants to forget?

Remembering

I am still not able to talk about you in the past tense.
Do you remember our visit to Madame Tussauds in London? You sent me to get a guide book from the policeman. You even gave me a sixpence for it...It was only when the policeman didnt respond that I realised it was a waxwork! Typical! Always ready to play a joke!
Another time we went somewhere to eat ...a Nigerian came up to us and said everyone must stand in a 'que we'. You asked if he meant queue! how we laughed!!
Remembering you fondly.

Uncle, the news of your departure from this God forsaken earth came as a surprise to me. I know you have a purpose as you have ever had. You have gone to make the way safe for us. You were a great leader, a very successful man who never left anybody behind. A vacumm has been created with your exit. I pray the good Lord should keep you in his bossom. Amen.
