Let the memory of Hope be with us forever
Hope Lynn Walker was born October 26, 1995 in Omaha to Edgar J. and Charity A. (Berg) Walker. She grew up in Council Bluffs, IA and attended elementary school in Logan, IA. Hope attended Duchesne Academy in Omaha her sophomore and junior high school years, and she was currently a senior at West Point-Beemer High School in West Point. Hope had a fun personality and a strong work ethic. She tuck-pointed at Duchesne to pay her tuition, detasseled, and worked at Runza and Shopko in West Point. She was involved in FFA, FCLA, and Speech. Hope’s family was a huge part of her life, and she lived as a firm believer in Jesus Christ as her Savior. Survivors include her parents, Edgar and Charity Walker of West Point; brother Gary and sisters Faith and Sarah Jane Rose, all of West Point; grandparents Dave (Kathleen) Berg of Omaha, Diana Graham (Jeff Elee) of Tekamah, and Sharon Walker of Council Bluffs; and numerous aunts and uncles, cousins, and friends.
Memorial Tributes

"I'm very sorry for your tragic loss of your beloved Hope. Please accept my expression of heartfelt sympathy to you in the painful loss of your precious daughter. I don't know you, and I didn't know your dear, beautiful daughter, however, recently in Sept, my very precious and beloved Mom died. I realize that our grief isn't the same, but I hope to share with you what continues to help bring me comfort, in the hope that you will gain an added measure of comfort too. I think about the fact that my Mom isn't suffering, and that means a lot! And I look forward to the time through the resurrection that my dear Mom will be alive again and then never be sick or have any pain and I hope to be there to welcome her back to life and to once again hold her close to me in a loving hug! These verses are the basis for my hope, and if you would care to look them up, I hope they help you too. (Acts 24:15; Eccl. 9:11b; James 1:13; 2 Cor. 1:3, 4; Isa. 33:24; Rev. 21:4, 5; Psalms 37:10, 11, 29) Take care, Sincerely Yours, Cindy Boyer"
