Horace G Jackson is survived by his loving family:  brother Layton (Mary); sister-in-law Lela; children Dr. Michael and Paulette, Dr. Stephan and Dr. Linda, Minka Cooper, Carolyn Gleason, Debbie and Joe Linebarger; grandchildren Mark, Terri, Rob, Christopher (Chella), Daniel, Kimberly (Aaron), Robby (Trish), Kevin (Amy), Honour, Jenny (Alan), Travis; great grandchildren Julianna (Shawn), Caitlin, Lea, Audrey, Ashton (Dale), Dakota (Hailey), Jacob, AJ, Vanna, Lexi, Troy; great great grandchildren Kyle, Sam, Harper, Brylie.

Dad grew up farming, fishing, and hunting in Chillicothe, MO. He married his high school sweetheart, T-Roley (Theresa) and enjoyed 29 years together until she passed away in 1970. During WWII, he served as an Merchant Marine engineer in the Pacific. Post-war he worked at Southwestern Bell Telephone Company for 35+ years, working his way up to marketing executive until retirement at age 55. While working full time and raising six young children, Dad earned a degree in Economics at St. Mary's University.

In 1975 Dad married Janet. They enjoyed traveling, bridge club, Jim Cullom Jazz band on the River Walk, and a dream cruise to Alaska. She passed away after 25 years.

Dad's golden years were enjoyed with Jean as they traveled, enjoyed family, and loved everything Branson and Spurs.

For years Dad enjoyed many hobbies including gold panning and gem hunting, jewelry creation, beekeeping, gardening, wine making, poker, and  writing his life memories in the book, The Untold Story of One Man and World War II.  Fishing was his passion all his life.
