This memorial website was created in memory of our loved one, Hal Pilz 94 years old , born on November 29, 1921 and passed away on February 18, 2016.
It's a sunny afternoon in Escondido, but much of the country is struggling with a Polar Vortex which has left much of Texas (and other areas) without power or water this week.

Ninty-nine years!! And we shall soon be observing the 5th anniversary of the week you and Mom joined the rest of your family "on the other side". Thinking of "the other side" reminds me of the crossing the Pilz family made in the early 30's... from Germany to a new life in America. How I wish I had asked for your memories of that transition.
