Hortense Jones Ramsey, 86, a lifetime resident of Granville County passed away Wednesday, December 4th, 2013 at her home.

A native of Granville County the daughter of the late James Thomas Jones and Nannie Sue Wiles.  She was a member of Providence Baptist Church and a homemaker.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, December 7th, 2013 at Providence Baptist Church by Dr. Randy Pittman.  Burial will be in Meadowview Memorial Park.

Surviving are her children; Bill Ramsey (Julia), Joyce R. Ellington, Jerry V. Ramsey (Lisa), Kathy R. Williams (Lyn) all of Oxford, three granddaughters, three grandsons, four great-granddaughters and two great-grandsons.  She was preceded in death by her husband McLean “Mac” Ramsey, a sister, Ruth Ellis and a brother, Brodie Jones, Sr.

Flowers are accepted or memorials can be made to Providence Baptist Church “The Mini Bus Fund”, % of Tonya Perry, 2551 Ace Dr. Oxford, NC 27565.

Visitation will be held Friday evening, December 6th, 2013 from 7:00 – 8:30 P.M. at Eakes Funeral Home in Oxford and other times at the home.

Bill, Joyce, Pee Wee, & Kathy,
So sorry to hear about Hortense but she's having a reunion with the One who created her for His glory. Take those good memories and use them as a source of comfort and strength.
