Houston BUFF :)

November 18, 2013

One of Houston's 6th grade assignments (as he graduated from Elementary School) was to write a letter to himself that would be given to him upon his High School graduation.  I was so touched by this letter that I would like to share it with you.  -- by Houston's mom

"Dear Houston St. John,

Hey man, I hope you had a fun time being a starter on the varsity football team!  I'll be praying for you from now until then.  I'm praying that you'll get a scholarship for football, and even get drafted.  This was my rookie year in football and now I love it!  I'm also praying that you meet that special girl.  Right now it's Cheyenne Wright, but who knows what it will be in six years!  Remember, no matter what happens, never stray away from God.  Stay close to him, keep your relationship with him stronger than ever.  Don't forget to keep reading 1 John from Frontier Winterfest 2009.

Houston, I'm praying that you'll start a revolution, and begin an overwhelming ministry to help the youth.  I'm also praying that you'll start a fire, 212 degrees in Club 121 in high school.  In your freshman year, team up with Emeri Eaton.  She can help get you started in the ministry.  I'm praying that you'll get a football and academic scholarship to an amazing college, and get drafted from there.  In Middle School, I plan on pursuing football, music, writing, and ministering to lost souls to help them find their way.

I've got some tips for you.  Never stray from God at all, get BUFF!  Keep playing football, and no matter what, you must remember God is always there, waiting for you with open arms.  I will conclude this letter with one final statement, CONGRATS GRAD!!!

Sincerely,
Houston D. St. John

P.S.  Try to make the Titans or Cowboys"
