It has been a year since you left us. I am sitting here remembering all the fun times we had in Danville on Grant street. I am sorry that we did not reconnect until many years later and I never got to see you but there is a time and place where we will meet again and reminisce. Miss you friend. It is hard to believe that a year has passed---new strength, new outlook, and new priorities.  Thank you Dad for your ongoing lessons.  On Aug 1, 2016 I waded in the surf at Sundial Resort on Sanibel-your final resting place --A cow nose Ray hugged around my ankle. While it startled me, I am sure you had some hand in the orneriness....  Love Laura (Pumpkin)

Hard to believe its been a whole year. I'll bet Dwayne is loving the time he's spending with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Can't wait to someday meet up with Dwayne and just listen to the stories he has to share. We miss him.

Laura & Stephen-
So sorry to hear about your loss. I was your babysitter in Wooster from 1967-1970. Your parents were in the Red Stocking Revue. They were wonderful people. I was 18 at the time. I married and moved away but thought of your family so often. Your parents gave me a makeup mirror for Christmas which I still have and use everyday!
With sympathy, Becky Purdy Shilling

I went to Danville High School with Dwayne--and June--and remember Dwayne well (my name was Bishop back then). I remember Dwayne taking the blame for talking in Social Studies when it was my fault and his futile effort to teach me to swim. Rest in peace, old friend.

This is a special message for Katie and Sterling:
It's been a LONG time since I saw you. You may remember me from school.  I would see your grandfather in church and think of the both of you and wonder how you were doing. I am sorry for your loss. Feel free to contact me. I am STILL at The Sanibel School! God bless you.

I found in Dwayne, a gentle, kind and caring man. He prayed from the heart. He danced with spirit. He spoke with intent. He enjoyed life because it gave him purpose. I am grateful for the time I spent with him. He will live in my heart forever.

I only knew Duane for a short time. However, I really enjoyed his company. He was a great listener and friend. I realized pretty quickly why I was so drawn to him...he reminded me of my father.

It is with great sadness that we learned of Dwayne's passing. Tom met Dwayne many years ago through work and I met him through church. Dwayne was very kind and loving. He shared God's love to others by his genuine caring and giving ways. We were blessed and honored to have known him.

Dwayne was a great guy to work with. He always had a way of making you feel at ease. Dwayne loved the Lord and was not ashamed to tell anyone he met about his Savior.

I spent over three great years with Dwayne. We shared many
things. Going to church, fixing dinners for each other, but most
of all we shared a passion for ball room dancing. Which we did
as often as we could. He will always be in my heart and prayers.
He was a compassionate, loving man
