A beloved husband, and father of three sons, Howard McMasters lived in Pismo, CA during the last 3 years of his life. It was there that he met his beautiful wife, Joan.
A spirited man of great intelligence and ability, his grandaughters, Rayna, Kendra and Michelle recall his humor and ability to see the fun in most situations. He was a great supporter of the BoysScouts, the Elks Lodge and many other youth progams. His community involvement in Whittier, Redlands, Paso Robles and Pismo left many folks forever changed for the better. Howard wanted to make a difference and so he did. His humor and confidence helped guide him, and he always had something clever to say when a difficult situation arose. He was known for his compassion and strength, was appreciated for his ability to make others laugh.
All who knew him recall a strong sense of honor, a very personable man of great kindness and courtesy. We love him, and miss him very much.

What I remember most about my grandfather are the little things he always did for me. For example, on my visits to see him as a child, he would always stock his fridge with soda's he new I liked. He would fresh squeeze my orange juice each morning and always buy me a hot dog at the beach. Grandpa would plan out my visits so that I never had a chance to be bored.
What I think of now, when I think of my Grandpa is the stories he told me in the last year of his life. To think that one man could do so much in his lifetime is unbelievable. Makes you think anything is possible.
