Howard Ledger Sr, 87, formally of Morton, PA and Oak Valley, Deptford Twp, NJ passed from this life on Friday, October 23rd at Shady Lane Nursing Home.

Howard proudly served in the US Navy during the Korean War. He spent his life working with Penn Fruit Supermarkets. He retired as a Diary Manager after many years.
Howard was active in St. Margaret’s Men’s Club. He loved working the carnivals and especially loved bowling with the group’s league. Howard was also active in Oak Valley Athletic Association. He coached baseball and basketball for many years. He also was an umpire for the organization.
Howard is survived by his children; Dolores Kurek (Bob), Howard, Dennis, John (Anna), Theresa DO, Diane (fiancé Ron Akin). He is also survived by grandchildren; Kristin Kurek, Lauren Francik, Andrew Ledger, Adam Ledger, and Alysha Ledger and 1 great grandchild. Howard is survived by his brother, Gene (Tina) Ledger and sister, Annie (Jack) Spargo, and many nieces and nephews.
Howard was predeceased by his parents, Sidney and Thelma (Ruppert) Ledger, his brothers, Jack and David Ledger and sister, Lenore Smith.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Howard’s viewing on Friday, October 30th 9:00-10:00 AM at Fertig Funeral Home, 63 N. Main Street, Mullica Hill, NJ. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 AM at the Catholic Community of the Holy Spirit Parish Center, 17 Earlington Ave.,  Mullica Hill, NJ. Burial will be at Arlington Cemetery, Drexel Hill, PA.
