The Life and Legacy of Hugh Peter Becker

Peter was known to many as Papa, Opa and Uncle Peter. He was born in Berlin, Germany to Emmanuel Ferdinand Becker known as Opa to many and Anna Maria Meinl known as Oma. Opa was born in Germany and Oma was born in Austria.They have raised five children Christa Hannah, Hans Juergen, Klaus Peter, Adolf Fritz and Karola Susana. Peter was born Klaus Peter. He then changed his name to Hugh Peter when he moved to the United States in 1956. They all spoke German fluently especially when they gather for their "Kaffee und Kuchen" at 3:00pm. This is an Austrian tradition the family had carried from the Meinl (Oma's family). The Meinl family had a Coffee Roasting Company in Austria (like Starbucks). It was called Meinl Kaffee. Meinl Kaffee is still famous in Europe. 

Peter studied Dentistry in Hanover, Germany. When he moved in the United States, he owned and operated a Dental Laboratory in the Bay Area for 59 years. Peter traveled all over Europe to represent Kentzler-Kaschner Dental, a company that manufactured and distributed Dental materials Located in Ellwangen, Germany. He retired at the age of 62 to spend more time with his family. Peter and his wife, Cathy enjoyed traveling to Europe and Central America. They both went to Dental Conventions in Europe and USA.

Peter is survived by his wife, Cathy Aguado Becker, Children: Dawn Heddy Koch, Karen Becker, Scott Becker and Ana Catherina Becker. He was predeceased by his father, Emmanuel and mother, Anna Maria and his siblings Christa and Hans. He is also survived by his younger siblings, Karola and Adolf, his grandchildren, great grandchildren, nephews and nieces that loved him dearly. His friends and a lot of extended families will miss him too. Most of all, we will miss his great sense of humor.

Peter has gone to a beautiful place. He is now pain free. He has no more worries “Sans-soucî, no more tears and always happy. Rest in peace our dear Peter. We will always love you and keep your memory alive. This website is solely dedicated to your Legacy.
