We have many fond and funny memories of our Aunt Hya but none more than the first trip we took from Jamaica to visit relatives in New York.  It was such a big deal for us!! She welcomed us into her home with open arms (see the pic in the gallery at her dining room table) where we could experience any and everything we could ever want as kids.  Those were the days!!  Rest in heaven dear auntie, you will be forever missed for sure.

Love your nieces,
Heather & Michelle

Dear Aunt Hyacinth

Dear Aunt Hyacinth, rest in peace and glory.  I certainly remember and miss fondly spending long hours in the Spanish Market with you as after shopping we'd wait on Hopeton; the long drives to St. Ann to eat fish and bammy, and on the way home you negotiating prices we would pay for produce from the Bog Walk venders who knew you and called out Ms. D for you to shop with them.  And recently, sitting with you watching the wrestling matches.  Those dear memories are making me smile and cry but I'm so glad I have them.  Rest now Dearest Aunt.

Aunt Hya,

Dearest Aunt Hya you are gone but you will be deeply missed and never forgotten. It was always a pleasure talking with her, she was so funny reminiscing about the stories of the olden days. I could always expect a call on my birthday and she knew everyone’s birthday. I was often told that she named me when I was born.
Rest In Peace now you are home, no more pain but you are with Mr Davis where you can continue to reminisce and laugh about the olden days
