Ichie Ezekegwe! I, your wife, remember that you were a man when men were men. Death has no iota of fear otherwise I wonder how it would have been booted out of your way. But since you had the grace to have old, young and even babies to mourn you I join hands with those who understand to thank God for a life well spent. To those with heavy heart, may I ask that thanks should be given to God instead.

To the entire Ichie Ekegwu children. May the good Lord give all of you the heart and strength to mourn the loss of your father who has protected all of you even onto his death. May his Legacy of peace and braveness persist even as you prepared for his final rites.

Your death came as a shock to me after your brief illness. My husband and I were getting your documents ready for medical treatment in US. Little did we know that the time has come for you to answer to the Almighty. Although I missed the opportunity to nurse and care for you but the care of the Almighty surpasses all cares.
Your legacy, your words of advice, your advocacy for me, and your unforgettable calls to my family will create everlasting memory in our hearts. Grandpa as my kids call you, Akunne as I call you, and Ichie as my husband calls you, you will always be remembered!!!
