Late Pastor Idongesit Akpan was born on 31st March, 1976. He was the second child and son of Late Mr Effiong Sampson Akpan, of Ikot Obio Akpan, Nung Ukana and Late Mrs Iquo Umoh of Ikot Obio Offiong, both in Ibesikpo Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria.

He attended the prestigious Central Bank of Nigeria Primary School in Lagos for his basic/primary education, proceeded to Federal Government College, (FGC) Ikot Ekpene, Akwa Ibom State in 1989 for his secondary school education and obtained his Senior School Certificate in 1994. He thereafter gained admission into University of Uyo to study Biochemistry.

Late Pastor Idongesit Akpan further enrolled in professional ICT courses and Ministerial Training Programmes from reputable organizations and Ministries.

After his tertiary education, he started off as a business man running his own ICT firm, but his dedication to the things of God was a priority as he went on to assume a full time role in ministry and served God with fervency, starting Christ Life Ministry in 2012 when he had the call. He pastored there till his demise.

Late Idongesit Akpan was a fun-filled person, full of life and always happy, bold, and stood up for what is just.
He loved sports and had particular interest in athletics, football and was actively involved in sports till his University days.

He was a spiritually sound man, related easily with people, and was a blessing to all. As a minister of the gospel, he was spiritually minded and had a passion for souls.

He got married to Ms. Emem Enefiok Bassey in 2012, and they have a beautiful daughter.

Late Pastor Idongesit Akpan went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, February 6, 2019 while ministering in midweek service.

May his soul find repose in the Lord's bosom - Amen.
