Bro. Idowu Temitope ALAO gone to be with the SAINTS!

Bro. Idowu , ID as most of us usually called him, was an extraordinary ambassador of Fountain of Hope 39NG, dutiful and committed SPACI parishioner / Anglican and above all Child of GOD.
In his short but very unique stay here on earth, he has the Midas touch on every assignment given on to him including relationship to humanity and service to Almighty God.
We cannot query Almighty God for calling His own at this moment but be grateful to God for the rare opportunity and privilege to fraternized with ID while on earth.
Bro ALAO was a very loyal and committed member of Fountain of Hope 39NG and served in different capacities as Secretary and Treasurer/Financial Secretary without any blemish. It will be an understatement that FOH 39NG is bereaved, we have lost a Gentle Giant in a young man and brother, May God comfort us all.
In St. Paul’s Anglican Church Ishagatedo, He has represented FOH 39NG at Harvest Committee severally and been a strong, dutiful and dedicated Parish Church Council Member. He Co-Chair Security Committee for years. Member, Capital Project and until his demise the Chairman Maintenance Committee.
Bro. ALAO’s love for God’s work was invaluable and unquantifiable. His role as SPACI youth member / leader then, Boys Brigade and respectable Man of God. Words are not enough to extol Idowu’s greatness and virtues in this context but only for us to say Thank You Jesus and glorify God in all.
ID has gone to meet with the saints, but his memories will last forever! You were noble, honest and fearless. A great companion and confidant. A tireless and dependable ally in the wheel of progress. You were friendly with great sense of humour. No wonder you were loved by young, youths, mates and Elders.
St Paul’s Ang Church Ishagatedo, Isolo will miss you, your community will miss you, FOH 39NG / FOHI will surely miss you.
Our prayer is that Almighty God will Comfort Tutu & Ibukun ALAO, his aged Parents, Brothers, Sisters and the entire Alao’s family and grant them the fortitude to bear the loss.
May the Gentle Soul of Bro. Idowu Temitope Alao Rest In Peace.

*AN ODE FOR IDOWU ALAO*
BY
SIYANBOLA ADERINOLA OLADAPO

*FINAL BUS STOP IS NOT HOW LONG*

Impossible!! It is not true! Who died? How ? When? Why? Where? Nigbawo? Mgbe ole?Yaushe? Lorsque? Idowu Alao gone? That can't be true. GO and reconfirm? No now!!! You must be confused? God why! Why!! Why!!!!

Death where is thy sting? Grave where is thy victory!!!

Idowu's death is incomparable with the stings of a horde of Bees or stings of scorpion, for as painful as that could be, they are nothing compared with the heaviness and pain of our hearts. There is nobody who knew Idowu omo Baba Alao especially in the service of the Lord’s vineyard that would not be traumatized at the news of your transition.

Idowu the suddenness of your death is a soul amputation to us all as nothing ever prepared us for losing you our dear tall good looking ebony Idowu, an Anglican per excellence.

The terrestrial mortals are weeping, but the heavens are rejoicing for gaining a saint that you are.

The celestial teams adulating the throne of mercy are jubilating that your brief sojourn on earth did not rob them of a Saint. For while you lived, your godliness and peaceful countenances were unquestionable.

You toiled for unity within the household of God, you worked diligently, you earned your merits and in our hearts, we know you will live forever.

Your transition to eternal realm forced me to think through the choices of whether to live a Methuselaic life and miss heaven or to die young and make heaven?

Indeed human beings are like cloud which appear dark in the horizon and momentarily vanishes. Your life, Idowu, proves that life on this terrestrial plain is as temporary as the morning dew that vanishes with the rising of the Sun.

Shall we then accede to the metaphorical witticism that life is a market where all individuals come to trade?
Each person must return home after the buying and selling and when everyone gets to his bus stop, he must alight. Is that why you did not even give us a hint that you are alighting so soon?

The reality of your death is not likely to sink on many people for a long time to come; many are still hoping to wake up from the rude shock dream.
We are however proud of the most memorable role that spirituality played in your life. You loved God and your actions were guided by His dictates. You were a genuine and practical Christian. An Anglican to the core.

Your passing on, made the book of Ecclesiastes’s description of ‘VANITYness’ of this world more meaningful. If good deeds, compassionate heart are the sacrifices that could save one, you never would have died.

At 52, you had finished your race. You have sold, you have made profits, you have come, you have seen, you have conquered. Your crown of victory awaits you. It is true that the beautiful fruits in the garden never stay for long and insect does not perch on just any vegetable but your vegetable is one of the best in the farm.

If people see us cry bitterly because of your death, remember we are human but our tears are not like those who do not have hope in the resurrection day but rather similar to the agonizing tears of our Lord Jesus Christ at the tomb of Lazarus.

An appointment with death has been made for all of humanity as Hebrew 9:27 hints ‘it is appointed for everyone to die once’’.

Our dear Idowu, you have attended your divine appointment and you owe nothing more on this side of eternity, you have joined the Saints triumphant.

We will miss your affectionate personality. Sleep on my dear brother who gave all to the services of God and humanity, a man never to complain. A great guy! The mournful looks that cut across all ages and gender at the news of your death which you are currently observing high above us are not like that of the unbelievers because we know a man, a woman and indeed all of mankind must at some point cease to exist in physical form but it was because you Idowu Alao was good, natural and very dear to us.Even as at April 24th you forwarded list of your harvest unveiling supports for harvest 2021 unveilers and when you noticed you left some names, you again sent supplementary list on 25th April, alas barely 6 days after, you answered the call of your creator! What a life.

Your contributions at the Parish Council meetings shall be missed, you were diplomatically fearless and always at the side of the truth.

At Vestry elections, twice you were the leading elected Parish Church Councillor.

‘’Death, I ask again, where is thy sting’’? We are confident Idowu will rise up at the coming of Jesus when the trumpet shall sound as we are told in
1st Thessalonians chapter 4 vs 16. “For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first. We are comforted that Idowu Alao will arise at the coming of Jesus, when the Trumpet of God shall sound.

Keep resting in the bosom of your creator from the sorrows and the tears, from tribulations and from Governments of this world, you are now in paradise where there is neither day nor night. No Boko Haram nor kidnappers, no inflation nor food shortage!!!

IDOWU ALAO, THE YOUNG COLOSSUS - EPITOME OF RELIABILITY, RESPONSIBILITY AND DILIGENCE

He came like a flash to accomplish his earthly assignments and left no stone unturned.
No doubt, he was found worthy in all areas of endeavours.
AT HOME - a kind and caring child; responsible and dependable father, husband; and role model; well cultured and moulded; A pride to the Alao Family;

IN CHURCH; Ambassador of a Great, Respected and Respectable Family; A worthy gift to Christendom, Dedicated and Practical Christian, tested and trusted with tasks, an amiable go-getter;

WITHIN PEERS, COLLEAGUES AND ASSOCIATES: A team player and easygoing colleague standing for the truth contributing meaningfully for the progress of the group.

In general, Idowu Alao touched the lives of all those he came across in a Very Special and Unique Way living an Indelible Mark in our minds.
He is being greatly missed.
His long strides, charming smiles and ever ready zeal to accept responsibilities even at very short notice cannot be forgotten so soon. He was forthright, dedicated, and zealous for God's work.
Idowu lived an exemplary Christian life worthy of emulation and I pray God to console the entire ALAO and the SPACI FAMILY. God will grant him eternal rest IJN. Amen

Hello ID I hope you can hear me. I believe you are sleeping peacefully in the bosom of your Lord [paradise] which is a better place to be. We down here are missing you badly. I am missing that person L usually throw my first punch where vou are seated when I enter the church sanctuary on Sundays. I miss that person who will always taunt me that even if put on a thousand JEANS trousers and sneakers and t-shirt, l am ancient and he is modern. That person who will always tell me I belong to the same class as his Papa. The shine in your face and the sparkle in your smile I miss too. You were such a lovely, peaceful and cheerful young man. Even if your stay on earth was that short, your good work lives after you and we have testimonies of that to share. Sleep well omo Major and Majores Alao.

*GOOD NIGHT & GOOD BYE BRO. IDOWU TEMITOPE ALAO*

"Oh death where is thy sting, Oh grave where is thy victory?".

ID, you lived a fulfilled life and have left indelible footprints in the sand of time.

As a rear gem with uncommon gifts, your humane spirit endeared you to all and sundry and you had no space in your heart for grudges even when your stance on issues may have been misconstrued.

You were very selfless and an epitome of good works.

We will forever cherish memories of your impactful life as a partner, brother and true family friend.

As we pray for repose of your soul, may God comfort your beloved family, the entire ALAO family, the FOH39NG Chapter and the Church of God where you served diligently and may He give us all the fortitude to bear this huge loss.

While we say GOOD NIGHT and GOOD BYE to you, albeit reluctantly, we also pray God to teach us to number our days that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom.

Rest on beloved.

Mr. & Mrs. Segun Olawuyi & Family.

Having lost a sister and a couple of friends within a space of time, ID, your death sure poured salt upon my injury! Since I heard of your passing, flashes of our Biochem lab-class in Lasu, our sitting positions and all sorts from 100L to our delayed final year, then finally the aluta grad! We then exited Lasu to face the real world. All these are now fond memories......
My prayers and thoughts are with your family and loved ones esp your wife, Tutu, your son and your parents. May the good Lord comfort them all in Jesus’ mighty name, AMEN!

Idowu Alao! A friend I enjoyed calling his name in full. I can no longer do that again as I now begin to come to terms that you're no more.

You're missed so dearly now you're no longer here. I will always remember our days in Lasu and Sheraton hostel. Idowu Alao was never a bench warmer . He was always entertaining with his yoruba proverbs, laughters and culture. No wonder he is from a noble family "The Alaos".

My wife and I will always treasure you, always on ground to support us with his wife. You're so humbled, gentle, funny and so kind. Your love lives on within my heart with memories of you in my heart

Life....what a life.

Still speechless about your death. Just last Sunday we had lunch at your place with everyone smiling and full of life not knowing it was the sendforth to the great beyond. Uncle ID you have been a great brother and friend.  From the time I joined FOH 39NG till your sudden demise you have always been a force to recon with. Your love towards my wife and children is unique. Always ready to give a helping hand, never tired or discouraged, dedicated and committed to a fault. You love all you do and take every assignment with seriousness. You are that one person that can give all without seeking any return. Lover of Christ and a God General. It is hard to say goodbye but we take solace in the Almighty God that you have gone to rest with your creator and our thought and prayer is with Mama and Baba Alao, your loving wife Adetututu and Son Ibukunoluwa. Continue to rest on Bro.

Idowu Alao!!! The thought of your passing is incomprehensible. So many memories flew pass the moment it was confirmed. I have no doubt, you now have eternal peace with your maker and resting in the blossom of the Father until the resurrection morning. Adieu ID! When God made it possible for us to reconnect after almost two and half decades since we last saw, it was like time has stood still for how you were. Still the same gentle, easy going soft spoken and witty jovial and humble person that I remembered all those years! Our brief reunion at a beach with our families and subsequent interaction continue to show what a wonderful person you are Alao. It was a shock that you would go so soon! I am only comforted knowing that your hopes were firmly set on the Kingdom of Heaven and that in His perfect will and wisdom, your creator deemed it time to have you rest now and give you peace from all life’s trouble. Your memories will shine and reverberate strongly in the hearts of us all! Adeiu ID as we fondly call you.

Idowu , I got that call early in the morning of 3rd of May 2021 , maybe I should have ignored that call but twice the call came , I picked it up , only to find out that it was the dreaded information about your death , just maybe death should have given you one more chance to prepare yourself for the journey beyond, a journey of no return. Two weeks ago we chatted and you showed no signs that it was the end . I remember those days when we were younger, you are well loved by your friends, your ability to digest and voice your opinions in a strong force is your character, you thought me how to speak in yoruba parables . Our lives that we shared from St Paul's Anglican Church isagatedo Isolo , through Lagos State University Ojo ,through Sheraton boys hostel and many more areas that we shared together especially the online social media groups that we shared are memorable times that I will keep in my heart.
Idowu Temitope Alao , we will miss you greatly . Sleep on in the blossom of your maker till we meet to part no more .
May God comfort your aged parents, siblings, wife , son and your friends you left behind . Adieu Idowu .

AT HOME - a kind and caring child; responsible and dependable father, husband; and role model; well cultured and moulded; A pride to the Alao Family;

IN CHURCH; Ambassador of a Great, Respected and Respectable Family; A worthy gift to Christendom, Dedicated and Practical Christian, tested and trusted with tasks, an amiable go-getter;

Amen
