The news of Junior’s death has been a hard pill to swallow.
Junior’s Infectious smile would light up any room, he was always the life & soul of any party.
When my husbands 50th was approaching last year Olu kept asking ‘What are we doing’, he would say ‘We have to celebrate it’ ‘call me and let’s discuss’ - Yinka I think you will remember this, you said ‘don’t mind Olu’.
On another occasion we all attended a party close to our home in Romford, the party finished too early for Junior (stubborn rocker), so he invited a few friends to our house for the ‘after party’, a spur of the moment decision but demonstrating Olu’s love for people and enjoying life to the max. It is evident that Junior loved bringing people together.
I’ve known Junior almost as long as I have known my husband (Ayo Fisayo). Junior was very much around in our early courting days, some 30 years ago. I have always known Junior to be one of the ‘way back’ ‘C&S’ original crew, along with a few others on this forum whom my husband always enjoys being around.
Romans 14:8 For if we live, we live to the Lord, and if we die, we die to the Lord. So then, whether we live or whether we die, we are the Lord’s.

It was an honor and privilege for me to have met Olu over 30 years ago and to have hung out with him several times. Always a great guy with so much fun and smile. Never saw him angry or annoyed. I am still struggling with his passing and especially to the fact that I spoke to him last Sunday , where Olu was telling me off for not coming to his 50th and I spent a greater part of that short Telephone conversation apologising to him. I believe Olu accepted my apology so I am at peace with that. Eruke, Alex and the kids, may God grant you the strength to deal with your loss. It is well. To my Great friend, Forever in our hearts.

Olu, words fail me. Thank God for the beautiful life you lived. My last conversation with you face2face was at Chief’s 60th with Yinka Durodola, you told me how proud you were of my achievements and I must ensure to invite you to any events I was organising, I guess it was never meant to be. Sleep well my brother, I pray God grants you eternal rest and your family, mum and siblings the fortitude to bear the loss. Heaven has gained an angel.

Devastatingly Shocking and unbelievable! Jnr, I can’t believe you’re gone! My dear friend from teenage - in the 80s! My dance partner in those days; the ladies heartbreaker, charming and irresistible! That smile, that cheekiness, that display of being ‘Mr Cool’!
Despite being in my 50s, and not seeing you in decades (except for the one time we bumped into each other a couple of years ago) I still sometimes have flash memories of all our escapades!! You will be missed. And judging by what I’ve read here, you will be missed by so many!
God can’t be questioned. He gives and he takes.
I pray that your dear family be Divinely comforted and that may your sweet and gentle soul rest in perfect peace!!

I found out about your passing this morning and I didn't want to believe it. I phoned a close friend and my worst fears were confirmed. This is so painful; I don't understand why the kind warm and friendly people die young. God knows best. All I have of you Olu is fond memories. Although we hadn't seen each other for donkey years, since Sunday School days, when we hooked up again last year, you were so warm and friendly and very encouraging in personal issues we discussed. I can't forget your smile and reassuring words. Rest in peace Olu Adeniyan.

Sleep well my brother
Olu,
A chap in whom i was very pleased, right from when we were young, growing up in the 70's.
He had this infectious & friendly smiles.
One thing I did appreciate was that respect & regard he showed towards me, his demeanour suggested an aburo deferring to an egbon. I reciprocated with mutual respect & genuine love as a freind and an aburo I liked very much.
Olu, became a MAN by marrying, fathering and nuturing children much earlier than his contemporaries, including me that is 3.5 years his senior.
I ran into him after many years in the company of Kunle Odumosu in 2015 or 2016 at the Lafric Resataurant, Victoria Island, Lagos, when he came to make arrangements for his dad's burial.
We spoke on a number of times over the phone, when he shared concerns over slight disaggrements with his half siblings over plans for his late dad's burial.
I was glad to offer 1 or 2 advice, on the power of persuasion by listening & accommodating other people's views, whilst you get things done, how you want it, rancour free.
Most importantly, humility (conceed sometimes without thinking that you have lost out)
I think that he was appreciative because he thanked me.
Olu, was my brother's (Kola Oni) greatest buddy....perhaps because they share a common streak of STRONG HEAD. Lol!!
He would be remembered for his LEGACY (his children) and his good deeds.
I pray that his lovely immediate & extended family have the strength to bear this painful exit of a youngman.
Sun re o.
Amen.

Utter shock and disbelief to hear of your passing. I have fond memories of you in the early days in London. Always smiling, considerate and never shy at being frank when the occasion calls for it.
While I know there is an appointed time for every event under heaven (Ecc3:1), words cannot express the pain your loved ones are feeling at this moment. I pray that God’s peace that passes all understanding comfort them at this time IJN.
Rest In Peace Olu

It was utter shock and disbelief when I heard this morning of Olu's passing, my deepest sympathies go out to Olu's family, apart from being friends at church, Olu and I were also classmates at St Finbarr's College Akoka, a lot of people call him Olu or Junior, but in school, he is always referred to as Ifeolu. To think that I am writing this tribute is beyond comprehension, I pray that the almighty God grants his entire family the fortitude to bear this huge loss, and that he continues to comfort everyone left behind at this very difficult time, RIP my brother and friend.

Olu why did you have to go so soon. It was only 5 weeks ago that you, Kola Babayemi and I were on the same flight coming back to London. We were our usual self drinking, gisting and reminiscing about the Ayo ni o olden days back in Iwaya, Aguda and Friday ‘s bar beach service. To say I am lost for words is an understatement, we even talked about royalties in our home state (Ondo) iku se kaa - iku do ro. Hmmm never gonna see you and your infectious smile again. Rest in perfect peace Olu.

*A TRIBUTE TO A BROTHER & A FRIEND*.
The news of your loss hit me like a drug, as I was about to sleep yet it kept me awake all night, THINKING!!!
Just a day before we deliberated on how best to fix your vehicle which was brought to my office for repairs. Little did I know that right then would be our last discussion on Earth. Selah
Of course, we were both clueless of the future and what God had in store for us!
So, as usual I ended up searching for solace within the Bible and I stumbled upon Ecclesiastes Chapter 7. V1-25.
“Sorrow is even better than laughter, because when our faces are sad, our hearts become good”.
What good could come out of the death of a friend and a brother from one of my loving Mums? God knows best and he is unquestionable !!!
Olu Junior, you’re a true gem and your memory lives within each and everyone of us as we continue with the battle called LIFE.
We needn’t tread too far to see or hear how golden your heart was, as the various tributes of friends and family here and beyond, speaks volumes in itself.
Rest well my brother as you will be sorely missed, but more solace comes knowing the Lord will keep you as he saw your golden heart more than we did.
Till we meet again, as Ecclesiastes 7-v2 says,
“because everyone must die, and the living needs to remember this”.
I pray none of us dies before our time and wish us all long life and prosperity also in great health - this I ask in Jesus mighty name. Amen
May the Lord continue to strengthen Mummy, Sis Bola, Tokunbo, Alexis, Eruke, Jordan, Savannah, Sahara, Alexander & all well wishers too.
ONE LOVE.... Dapo ILUGBO

Jordan, this is such devastating news. Your Dad was a very very good man and will be sorely missed. He was full of life and I still find it hard to believe he's no longer with us. Sahara, I saw him last Friday and on Sunday when he informed me he had just returned from seeing you as he had to help you move to a new address. And that's another thing Olu was very good at. He was always ready to offer his time in
helping others. He really was a kind hearted person.
May his sweet soul rest in perfect peace. Simply put, Olu was just an awesome & wonderful person to around with and will never be forgotten. I pray for God's comfort and strength over his entire family and friends. May God continue to guide, protect and be with us all, Amen.

When I heard the news Olu I was numb. I couldn’t get out of bed!!!! Over the years Olu you became the older brother that I never had. You always advised me. You flew all the way to Nigeria for my wedding. Each time you were in Nigeria you would spend at least one night at our house because if you didn’t you knew I would get upset. Words fail me, my heart fails me...I don’t understand how this could happen to someone so wonderful. Kayode and I are devastated. To say Olu was wonderful is to say the least. He was kind, caring and very very thoughtful. Ifeolu, I will miss you like crazy but in all I pray that your soul Rests In Peace and that the Lord will give us your family whom you have left behind the strength to bear this great loss.
