Ila Morris Wynne, 91, a lifetime resident of Granville County passed away Sunday, November 6, 2016 at Universal Healthcare in Oxford.
A native of Granville County, she was the daughter of the late Noah Morris and Cora Mangum. She was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church and was a homemaker. Ila was the widow of the late Herbert Wynne.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, November 9, 2016 at Mt. Zion Baptist Church by Rev. Keith Williams. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Surviving are two daughters, Ila Ruth Langley (Bill), and Rhonda Ross (Bobby), both of Oxford; two sons, Jack Pennell (Diane) of Oxford and Wade Pennell (Janet) of Franklinton; fifteen grandchildren, twenty-three great grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two daughters, Wilma Simpson and Virginia Tuck; a son, Ray Pennell; two grandsons, Darrell Wayne Pennell, Scottie Pennell; three sisters, Lucille Dement, Ethel Jackson, Lillie Morris; six brothers, Luther, Brodie, Buck, Ira, Joe and Culie Morris.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, November 9, 2016 from 12:30 – 2:00 P.M. prior to the service in the Fellowship Hall of Mt. Zion Baptist Church and at other times at the home of her granddaughter, Donna Jean Beasley.
