Ildefonso Rodriguez, 87, of Vineland, NJ went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, March 3, 2021. A memorial service will be held for friends and family at the Spanish Catholic Church, 410 S. 8th St., Vineland, NJ at 4:30 on Saturday, March 13, 2021.
Ildefonso was born in Caguas, Puerto Rico, to the late Vincente and Justina (Velez) Rodriguez. He was a resident of Vineland for most of his life. He worked at Progresso Foods for over 40 years before retiring as a Label Machine Mechanic. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, playing pranks and jokes. His favorite past-time was playing pool at Q-Ball Billiards.
Ildefonso is survived by his formal wife Luz Maria Mercado and children, Ibeth Rodriguez, Humberto Rodriguez (Maria), John Rodriguez (Vivian) Ildefonso Rodriguez, Jr. (Elienid), Nancy Rodriguez, Joseph Rivera and family; three sisters, Ramonita Rodriguez, Marcelina Rodriguez and Pacquita Rodriguez. He is also survived by many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nephews, nieces and cousins.
