Inez Harrison Melton, 80, a longtime resident of Northside Community, passed away Sunday, November 6, 2011 at her home.
 

She was born November 9, 1930 in Person County, the daughter of the late Walter Alfred “Cute” and Mollie Allison Harrison.  She was a member of Olive Grove Baptist Church and retired from nursing and childcare.
 

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, November 8, 2011 in the Eakes Funeral Chapel in Creedmoor by Rev. Kevin Griggs.  Burial will be in Walnut Grove United Methodist Church Cemetery in Person County.

Surviving are her husband of sixty three years, James D. Melton of Creedmoor, two daughters, Joan M. Moss (John) of Graham, Diane M. Jonczak of Durham, a son, Gary A. Melton of Oxford and a sister Luna H. Roberts (Claiborne) of Mebane.
 

The family would like to extend a special thanks to neighbors, church family and friends for their love and support through the years.

Visitation will be held from 12:30 – 2:00 PM Tuesday, November 8, 2011 at the Eakes Funeral Home in Creedmoor and other times at the home.
