CAMERON – Ira George "Rocky" Cameron, Chandler, AZ & Puerto Penasco, Mexico, went home to be with the Lord, on May 20, 2021, at Chandler Regional Medical Center.  He is survived by his wife, Nieves Zacapala Castro Cameron of 37 years.  Born in Johnstown, Pennsylvania, he was a son of the late George E. and Lillian M. (Horner) Cameron. Preceded in death by Sister Sally Mae Rodgers, brothers Russel C. Cameron, Donald J. Cameron & Harry John Cameron, daughter Petra "Peggy" Renate McGinnis and son Ira W. "Butch" Cameron.  Surviving in addition to his wife are his brother Richard Cameron, daughters Leslie Cameron of Seward, PA, Lupe (Scott) Masterson of Phoenix, AZ, Alma (Matt) Krueger of Avondale, AZ, Anastasia (Gabe) Vindiola of Chandler, AZ, son Dean (Mia) Cameron of Phoenix, AZ, grandchildren Joshua Masterson, Jeremiah Masterson, Monique Yazzie, Veronica Johnson, Jessica Singleton, Nathan Cameron, Miriam Krueger, Elijah Krueger, Rey Guerra, Gabe Vindiola, Xavier Ira Vindiola, James McGinnis, LeAnne Cameron, Jessica Lynn Cameron, John Mathew Cameron, Anna Cameron, David Cameron, Douglas Dubics, Paul Dubics and great grandchildren Tila Yazzie, Raelyn Elthie, Nova Singleton, Sage Singleton, Jeremy Hampton, Nathanial Cameron, Xavier Cameron.  He was a Vietnam veteran, serving in the U.S. Air Force for over 29 years as an aircraft mechanic and was also a diesel engine instructor at UTI. He retired from Williams Air Force Base, Arizona.  Funeral service will be conducted Tuesday, June 1, 2021, at 5 p.m. in the chapel of Abel Funeral services, 1627 N 51st Ave, Phoenix, AZ 85035.  Burial service will be conducted Wednesday, June 2, 2021 at 10 a.m. at National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona 23029 N Cave Creek Rd, Phoenix, AZ 85024.
