Irene was always my younger annoying cousin and we both loved each other. I never thought she would die because she was always too ornery and always a great fighter to allow death to happen so soon. when we spoke she always loved to talk about family and old times and we would talk for hours and hours going down memory lane.  my oldest daughter Noreen who was 10 years old at the time was the flower girl in her wedding to John and I was proud to be a matron of honor also. Irene was always happy and laughing no matter what her circumstances were she could always handle anything. We will really miss her but we will always remember her as a wonderful person who we had all too briefly and who was loved by all of us. Our sincere sympathies to John Jason and Gina. Words cannot describe the grief we all feel but we know she is now at peace with her mom and dad in heaven.

Irene.....its been four days since you left me and I am totally lost. You were always the smart one in the family. You always new what to do, no matter how bleak things got you were always like a rock. You always had that edge to ya, even right up to the end you still had the strength to make me laugh. Me and the kids miss you a lot, I know you'll always be there with us no matter what. Set a stool aside for me at the heavenly Karaoke bar. I'll be with you soon. Maybe you can sing " CRAZY " for me. Miss you much. Love, Your Husband John

" In Memory of my Mom " by Jason Nigro..............I'm gonna miss your singing and your laughter, I'm gonna miss being a huge pain in your ass. You were above all " The Yard Sale Queen " and a notorious Joker. At times you thought you were the absolute best, but you really did stink at poker. I'm really not good at showing my feelings, but I know in time my heart will start healing. I'm really gonna miss your hugs & kisses. With Love from your son. Prayers and good wishes,Rest in Peace. Aunt Irene - you were always quick witted and the first with the sharp comebacks. I will miss our holiday gatherings with all of our family around the table laughing and conversing. You were always the one with the funny stories and you narrated them perfectly (TOAST!!). You will be missed but never forgotten. I know that you are up there in heaven singing with Elvis and probably giving him a couple pointers. Give my Grandfather a hug for me.

Love your Nephew Nick

Irene;

There was never a dull moment when you where around. You
always brought laughter to our family gatherings with your wild
stories and jokes! I'm truly sorry we did not spend time together in the
last few years, there never seemed to be enough time. We did get
to catch up when we spoke on the phone, and you never lost a beat!

You will be sadly missed by your nephews, Jerry and I. I'll always tell
Alex and Mia about there "Great" Aunt Irene, and how she kept us all on our toes!! I Love You

John, Gina, and Jason

Please accept my sincere condolences on your loss. I'm glad I was able to see her last summer. She still had that wicked sense of humor. I hope that your memories will bring you comfort. Look for subtle signs and you will know that she is and always will be with you in some way.

You are all in my prayers.
