her Life
Irene peacefully entered into eternal life with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Jan. 24, 2021 at 94 years of age. She was preceded in death by her husband Makoto "Mac" Suto. She is survived by her son Steven ( Naomi ), sister Virginia Kido and brother Richard Fujita.
She was born in Honolulu on Mar. 25, 1926 and grew up in Liliha.  Attended Kauluawela Elementary, Central Intermediate and graduated from Farrington High School.  She was working at Bishop National Bank where she got reacquainted with Mac and eventually got married.  They had previously known each other through friends and was corresponding with each other when Mac was serving his time in the Army during WW 2.  She retired early from the City & County to care for Mac after he was diagnosed with cancer.  She cared for him until he passed away six months later in 1983.  She enjoyed traveling (especially to Japan), learned flower arranging, watching Japanese shows (especially sumo), singing karaoke and doing  crossword puzzles.  She will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
Private services will be held as her ashes will be buried next to her husband Mac at        Punchbowl National Cemetery.  Cremation arrangements done by Oahu Mortuary.
