His Life
May 16, 2016

Mr. Perry was born in Whitley City, Kentucky on June 26, 1939, the son of the late, Goldie Hellen Taylor Perry and Henry McCoy Perry. He was a Christian by faith. Until his retirement he was a machinist in the plastic industry. He was an absolute hunting and fishing enthusiast. His love of the two sports convinced him to become a taxidermist so he could preserve his beloved trophies. He was much sought after by other lovers of both sports to prepare their prized specimens. Even when his health was such that others would not get out of bed, “Mr. Virgil” would find his way for any youngster who wanted him to teach them the art of his beloved sports. His joy for the sport was sure to remain with them throughout their lives. He will be missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his son, Vincent Perry (Kim and Jessi) of Hiram, GA.; two sisters, Cora Lee Holbrook of Ermine, KY. , and Rachael Tostenson of Franklin, GA.; four brothers, Roscoe Perry of Seco, KY, Gordon Perry of Ermine, KY., Stanley Perry of Whitesburg, KY., and Doyle Perry also of Whitesburg, KY.; and one granddaughter, Judy Young (Ryan) of Anacortes, WA.

Other than his parents he was preceded in death by one brother, Willard Perry.
