It's a pity that we lost one of our dynamic Tutors of SONO. Mr Okediran was a great tutor. His rise to the top was a very good motivational tonic that determination, hard work and God 's grace can move one to the top of the ladder. We love you but God loves you more, rest on till we meet to part no more. Comfort of God be upon his family and all of us IJN.

You are all children of light. We do not belong to the night or darkness.......... Since we belong to the day, let us be self controlled, putting on faith & love as breastplate and the hope of salvation as a helmet. For God did not appoint us to suffer wrath but to receive salvation through our Lord Jesus. He died for us so that whether we are awake or asleep we may live together with Him. There encourage one another & build each other up just as in fact you are doing. 1Thess. 5:6-11.

Mr. Okediran passed away just like that? What a sad news. He was highly intelligent and a great Teacher. I could remember, when he took over Anatomy and physiology from our Principal- The late Pa Ajadi (a born Teacher) we menbers of 1st Intake, initially were not happy because Pa. Ajadi has spoiled us. We thaught how could a mere Copper be compared to a born Teacher like Pa. Aadi. That led us to reporting him as said by Mag. Trust Pa Ajadi, he did not tolerate nonsense. He taught us our lessons. We started test every friday immediately after 1st break ( we usually had a crate of Coke and packet of Cabin Biscuits awaiting us in front of the clas, b4 the test). Soon my Okediran proved himself to be highly intelligent and friendly. We were lucky to have excellent Teachers then but Mr. Okediran had additional excellent quality- excellent Students-Teacher relationship. He was a friend to all; no discrimination. Open minded, jovial. Friendly and olumunkanje. He taught us Peadiatric Nursing too. Because of him, I developed interest in Pead. I would have be a Paed Nurse, unfortunately no facility for such training in Nigeria then.
I spoke with Oga as I used to call him, last in November, 2015. He was happy to hear my voice again. He said 'baba psychiatric, I can still recognised your voice'. Very humble man. I promised to see him during my holiday in December but couldn't make it due to bad weather. Dust everywhere and I was down wt RTI for greater part of my leave. The next thing I had was his death.
May Almighty God be wt and protects the family members  and friends he left behind.
Its too sad.

She was still teaching when Mr Okediran came for his own Anatomy period and challenged the class rep why he should allow mrs Norman to cheat Mr Abnormal his own time. It was a funfilled class despite the toughness of the subject and the topic that day. A teacher per excellum . An encourager and a mentor . Mr Okediran's book chapter was closed suddenly yesterday. Only God knows why because He knows all things. We will all die some day. Everyone must die once, and after that be judged by God.
Hebrews 9:27 GNT
The question now is where do you and I plan to spend eternity? There is Eternity in Heaven and Eternity in hell. Food for thought....

Gone too soon but never forgotten. It was so shocking to hear about the sudden death of one of my mentors in Nursing, Mr Okediran as we all called him. Very jovial, kind, a go to person... As complicated as anatomy and physiology was, especially the nervous system, he made it less stressful for us. We always had fun in his class. Mr 'Olumunkanje', 'idodo nidaji ara', etc. He gave us methods to remember the 12 cranial nerves... OOOTTAFAGVAH. We can never forget you Mr Okediran. The 4th intake appreciate your tutoring. Good night sir. I pray that God will comfort his family and friends at this time and always. Toyin Okunfolami nee Ojetunde.
