There are some who bring a light so great to the world, that even after they are gone their light still shines and remains. Ishbel is that person for me.

 We met when Yvonne was climbing up the 3 flights of stairs to get to their apartment. We lived on the first floor and I heard this little girl crying saying " I canny dew it". That was the starting of my friendship with Ishbel. I had 2 girls and was pregnant was a 3rd.  YVONNE was about the same age as Shannon so they played while I listened to Ishbel tell me of her life in Scotland. We had so much in common and I loved her accent. I have yet to meet anyone as friendly, giving, and loveable as Ishbel. She would light up a room with her smile and laughter.

We had lost contact through the many moves we made due to my husband's job. But thanks to Face Book after years of not being able to get in touch with her, I found Yvonne. I was so happy and excited to find out I had the right person. Ishbel was in a Rehab so I had to wait to get to talk with her, but Yvonne kept me updated so I was going to get to talk with my friend when she got home.  Then I got the world as t news a person could get. YVONNE told me that her precious Mom had passed away before she could talk with me. She was planning on calling when she felt better..that didn't happen. She passed away. To say my heart was broken is an understatement. Getting to talk with My Long Time FRIEND was not going to happen. You see Ishbel was part of my last link to my past. We were both widows now. She could relate as not to many others could. Ishbel seemed to be able to walk into my heart and mind and  feel what I was feeling  and know what was in heart. A more beautiful, kind, loving, generous and giving of herself SOUL, I have yet to run across again. I am saddened that we could never get to have that talk I was so looking forward to. But I KNOW she is with Brian again and with JESUS, so that talk will happen when my time on Earth shall be through too.

REST IN PEACE MY FRIEND. Enjoy your time in Heaven as you enjoyed your time on Earth. Give my love to my husband Tommy and my granddaughter Krystin. Please set aside 100,000 years beside a babbling brook so we can talk about all the times we shared and get caught up on the time we were apart.
