Ivan William Walker, Sr., Age 71, of Dayton, OH, passed away Wednesday, July 4th, 2018. Born February, 1st 1947 in Boomer, West Virginia to parents Theodore and Estelle Walker. As a graduate of Gauley Bridge High School in West Virginia, Ivan went on to serve in The United States Navy acquiring the skills that would later propel him into a nearly five decades-long career as an exceptional electrician and mechanic. In 1974, Ivan became a resident of Trotwood, Ohio where he then married his wife of 44 years, Vanessa Walker. Following his services in the Navy, Ivan began his career at Dayton Tire and Rubber Company before joining Miami Paper (Frasier Papers) in 1981. In 2006, Ivan started work with Conagra Foods until his retirement in 2016. Ivan was preceded in death by his parents Theodore and Estelle. He was also preceded in death by his brother Larry Walker.
